Awarua Whānau Services is a health and social services subsidiary of Te Rūnaka o Awarua, which is one of the 18 Papatipu marae that make up Te Rūnaka o Ngai Tahu (TRONT).

Te Tauraki exists to advance health and wellbeing for whānau Māori in Te Waipounamu through advocacy, commissioning, and monitoring. As mandated by Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, Te Tauraki is the Kāi Tahu entity with responsibility for the promotion of health and wellbeing aspirations within the takiwā of Kāi Tahu, amplifying the voice and needs of whānau Māori. Alongside this, they are a commissioning agency, contracting Whānau Ora service providers across Te Waipounamu.
